Is there someone in your life that loves to knit? Do you want to buy a gift for them but are unsure of what they’d want or need?
Look no further! I’ve compiled a list of 4 different categories that any knitter would absolutely adore and be so thankful for.
YARN
Well, this is a no-brainer. Knitters need yarn, and lots of it!
Where to get it –
My favorite online yarn store is KnitPicks.
Gift cards – There are also options to purchase a gift card to your local crafting store – think Michaels if you’re in the United States.
Local Yarn Store – These stores are typically small businesses that have beautiful selections of fibers and hold many classes.
NOTIONS
What are notions? Simply put, they’re small, useful items. They make knitting more fun and easier to accomplish.
Some examples of notions:
- Stitch markers
- Stitch holders
- Tapestry needles
- Row counters
- Measuring tape
Where to get it –
These are also available at KnitPicks and the other places listed above that you would typically find yarn or other craft items for sale.
NEEDLE SETS
If you’re wanting to really surprise someone and can afford to splurge, a knitting needle set would be an excellent choice. These come in different types, but here are a few options. The KnitPicks options are a bit cheaper than the others, but are still raved about by knitters all over!
ChiaoGoo Interchangeable Needle Set on Amazon. I have this one and use it constantly.
A FREE OPTION
What would any knitter love more than anything? A day spent knitting! This is a 100% free way to show the knitter in your life that you love them and appreciate their craft.
An easy way to do this would be to print out a coupon and placing it inside a card to give to the special someone. They’ll know that they’re loved by this simple and thoughtful gesture.
What gifts have you received that made you feel amazing?
What’s something that you use time and time again as a knitter?
